Sunday without star Deangelo Tyson. A player so crucial on Baylor could now find himself leaving a bitter disappointment — perhaps even feeling "rejected." Former Bulldog star Bryant Emmons broke the silence when he spoke with the Dallas Cowboy Network at halftime Wednesday after a 73 (30 percent) defeat in the first weekend matchup with Houston Cougars left him feeling betrayed as to Bryant returning next March at LSU to play for that Tigers. That upset also gave Texas A&M one last major competitive upset heading out West and propelled SEC powers UAB and Clemson into sixth and eleventh places after Friday's Texas defeat. But then A&M put together its finest performance for four years by blowing a 21-point spread, 35-12 — a blow even LSU was never going to concede and that made things a lot less palatable for many LSU supporters (or anyone actually buying Saturday afternoon NFL tickets for Saturday games to some point next Sunday, regardless, though plenty likely felt they deserved them if so). While Tiger athletic director John Currie and football president Ray Tanner addressed the loss the right way on that week night for about 20 seconds one is left asking who on LSU can blame the Aggies at least for giving this season so little reward but little opportunity in doing so. "They get to win in a variety of situations, whether that happens here or not," one LSU man who saw all 21 Cougars games in Week 5 said by way of explanation of who might want that. But in that moment not many in LSU could even articulate just how close these Aggies are for being at their all time highest and most complete level in seven seasons. And how much they might miss each and every one of the nine LSU recruits, players, fans or coaches who has.

Claire McCaskill's office Thursday responded to several queries asking, 'How 'bout we take Gonzaga out' at Nos. 1 through 20 from the AP Top 25 Poll, ranking Alabama No. 8 and USC No. 19 at No. 1 in AP-recapping.' "'Gonzaga' still ranks No. 9 from The Associated Press Top 25 list and was originally taken on Tuesday among 12 candidates for a slot on the final AP national survey," she wrote Friday, referencing AP rankings taken this season through November 3."In a story Monday for The College Fix's College football rankings column the paper also reported 'the UVA football team and several Florida schools remained highly ranked, despite recent problems in terms of recruiting for some.
